How to Eat a Cupcake

peachy keen

No trip to Seattle is complete with out a stop at Cupcake Royale. I scoped out their website before we visited and I learned about their Peach Cupcake, yep, had to have one. These lovelies are made just for sale at Metropolitan Markets. On our way out of town, while Kyle was record shopping at Easy Street, I was cupcake shopping at  Met Market. Peach for me, Salted Caramel for The Claw, (his fave!) and chocolate and vanilla for the Over G’s. I couldn’t resist, they were packaged up so nicely.

Now, while I love the cake and frosting combo, I must say that I am partial to the frosting. Even at birthday parties as a kid, I would be slightly, (ok more than slightly) disappointed if the A&P cake was frosted with whipped icing instead if the super sugary, buttery cream that I love. I would always ask for a corner piece, and save the frosting for last. I still save the frosting for last.

This is how I eat a cupcake. Cake bottom first, crown last.

more frosting please!
