After lunch yesterday Kyle commented that we didn’t have any tasty treats. Have no fear! I assured him that I would have cookies in 20 minutes! I found this recipe on allrecipes.com a while ago, and it has become my go to. Super simple, not too many ingredients, and they always turn out!Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 cup butter 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup white sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 c flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 cup boiling water 2 cups quick cooking oats 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips Beat butter, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add the flour and salt–mix well Dissolve baking soda into the boiling water, add to mixture. Stir in rolled oats and choc chips. Drop by spoonful onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Don’t overcook. No egg!
I halved the recipe yesterday and got 20 cookies!! Can you guess how many are left?
