A la Bake and Destroy! Thankfully they turned out great! As I was baking them I was a little unsure. The butter didn’t blend in super well, but the recipe expressly said not to overmix–so I restrained myself and my mixer. When I took them out of the tins, there were pools of melted butter in the bottom of the pans-seriously. Once they cooled, I did a taste test-super yum! No butter chunks. So in the morning I iced them up, added sprinkles and they were good to go, for an afternoon birthday tea party and an evening christmas canape soiree. I baked them mini styles using red gingham paper liners from Bake it Pretty and leftover silver mini papers from my cupcake tree decos. Using a full recipe makes a lot of minis-a lot. My house had a distinct butter smell for a day or two after–not complaining!
