Farm Share

Farm ShareMy lovely friend Ashala, and her family, are roadtripping for three weeks and they gave us their farm share! So for the next few Saturdays I’ll head down to the East Van Farmer’s Market with an empty bin and come home with something that looks like this.

Cherries, cherry jam, apricots, basil, sage, carrots, chard, beets, lettuce, salad mix, garlic, garlic scapes, zucchini, cucumber and eggs. The bounty will change slightly depending on what they’ve harvested at the farm.

At the beginning of the season you can buy a share that fits your life. Full or half, depending on the size of your family. Then from May to October you pick it up weekly. All farm fresh, organic produce from Klippers Organic Acres in Cawston, BC. They also do a winter share that is available every two weeks. Along with the share comes an email with a list of what is in the box for the week, and a recipe to use some of the produce in the box. We will certainly be eating well for the next few weeks!
